Inklings IG: How Did God Reveal the Bible?
Led by Dr. Mark Olson, Room 229
Join Leland Seminary President Mark Olson in a study of Lee McDonald’s book, The Formation of the Bible. Who decided what books would be included and how were those decisions made? Discover how God gradually revealed which books should be included in the Bible, and why some Christian Bibles include different books in them. Copies will be available to purchase at the study at a cost of $15. This IG is open to everyone.
Dig Deeper IG: Knowing and Doing What Is Right
Led by Rev. Eric Reiser and Alicia Hoefke, Room 323
This IG is for anyone who desires to grow in his or her faith. Using The Moral Vision of the New Testament by Richard Hays, we will learn how to discern a Christian response to the moral issues confronting the church and society. We will also examine and encourage each other through the struggle we experience living into our beliefs.
Men’s Bible study: The Men of the Torah
Led by Dr. Jim Baucom, Room 209
Continuing with the men of Genesis and then moving into the rest of the Torah, Pastor Jim will examine the trials these men of the Bible encountered, the faithfulness they displayed, and lessons we learn as a result of their lives. Join the group for transformational Bible study and authentic community.
John Stait Men’s IG: Bible Prophecy—Past, Present and Future
Led by Rev. John Stait, Room 302
In this study men will gain an understanding of Bible prophecy related to past, present and future events. By looking at how God fulfills his promises through the stages of redemptive history, you will gain an appreciation of the trustworthiness of Scripture and the security that comes from trusting the God who knows the past, present and future.
Joyful Sisters Women's IG: Spiritual Warfare
Led by Jan Brinson, Room 127
Join us for two studies on the topic of spiritual warfare. We'll be learning how to go to our private "War Room" and how to put on the "Armor of God" in a new study by Priscilla Shirer. We'll be learning how to stop being caught off guard and pushed around by the enemy. Through these studies we will learn how to pray in a way that brings the enemy to his knees while we stand in victory. Come and get armed!
Daughters of the King Women's IG: Living in Jesus
Led by Carolyn Adams, Room 145
Having read through 1 & 2 Peter in the spring, we continue our Living in Jesus study by reading the letters of 1-3 John and Jude. Through this study we will listen for the voice of God while meditating on the word of God, with the goal of living into the victorious Christian life.
