Why is a Men’s Ministry needed at Columbia?

Men are called to be spiritual leaders in their family and in their church
(Ephesians 5:25-27; 6:4)
Iron sharpens iron
(Proverbs 27:17)
Men can model spiritual devotion and a godly lifestyle to one another
(2 Timothy 2:1-2; Titus 2:6-8)
Men need to encourage one another in Christ and hold one another accountable
(Titus 3:1)

Rev John Stait and others agree that if a man could only read one "self-help" book in his life (other than the Bible), he should read Finding God by Dr. Larry Crabb.  The experience will help you counsel yourself first, and then potentially give you the wisdom and insight of an expert in helping others.

Thursda
ys, 7:00am, Room 229

This class was started years ago by Denton Lotz former General secretary of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA).  It is now taught by BWA staff member Fausto Vasconcelos, who is a world class Bible teacher! If you have a thirst for Biblical knowledge and enjoy fellowshipping with other men who are seeking God's word, then we would love to have you join us.  We gather for coffee and doughnuts as we begin Bible study.  For more information email Eric Reiser, or call 703-534-5740 x270.
