A Prayer for Haiti

Dear Heavenly Father,

We praise you today that you are the same God here as the one proud Haitian people worship in mountainside cinder block churches. I pray you will reveal yourself to them as Savior – One who can become their living bread that they will neither hunger nor thirst again.

I pray, Lord, as Bro. Charlie said to the Haitian people, “If it turns out we pray, we’ll pray. But pray and what else?” May we will take this moment of seeking you to truly ask ourselves what else we are willing to sacrifice to put our faith into action.

Thank you for placing a specific call on this church. May we bring you glory in the decisions we make to ignite passion for Jesus Christ.

Lord, as we worship you today, may we see ourselves as part of the larger body of believers who are praising you today in many languages. May you challenge our hearts to see the world as you do, people created in your image that need to hear about your saving, life-changing grace.

We thank you today for what you will do in and through us for your glory.

In Jesus' name I pray,
