Spend Yourself® (Hunger Ministry)

“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” Isaiah 58:10

About Spend Yourself®

In September 2008, Columbians immersed themselves in Bible study, prayer and worship, focusing on understanding the plight of those struggling with hunger.  This month-long, church-wide immersion concluded with a commitment to a long-term, concerted effort to address both spiritual and physical hunger around the world.

The Spend Yourself ministry began as a church’s call to put faith into action. Today, it is a partnership with other agencies, churches and individuals who are passionate about sharing God’s love for the world by sharing the gift that God so generously gave us: LIFE. Through community projects, education and prayer, this ministry’s goal is to give bread for life while also sharing the Bread of Life, our Lord Jesus Christ.
