YOUR GOD IS TOO SMALL - Starting Monday, February 24, 2025

Corresponds with the sermon series at Columbia

Sermon Series Summary:  God’s people have often tended to reduce God to some predictable and controllable entity, particularly in seasons of prosperity. This pattern is obvious in Scripture, and even in history, but we are less likely to recognize it in our own times and places. We can know that we have been shrinking God whenever we realize that we have been enlarging everything else. When we lose perspective, we lose faith. By hearing afresh God’s own statements in the Bible about just how tremendous he really is, we can begin to see just how small everything else is by comparison.

What You Can Expect:

Each week we will consider a different truth God tells us about himself and consider how that puts our day-to-day experiences in the proper perspective.

  • Monday will be a Scripture reading and song
  • Tuesday through Thursday the devotional text will reflect on what the week's sermon message teaches about whole life discipleship:
  • Who we are or who God is (Identity)
  • How we live life (Integration)
  • How we interact and influence others (Influence)
  • Friday will be a prompt to reflect on what God brought to light this week

Our prayer is that we will be encouraged and emboldened to see God as so much bigger than whatever we are going through.  Welcome to the journey!
